He is Founding Music Director of the New West Symphony California, The McGill Chamber Orchestra Montreal, and Artistic Director of Ontario's principal classical music festival the Brott Music Festival. Internationally he has been assistant conductor to the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein and Principal Conductor for the Royal Ballet Covent Garden, the Northern Sinfonia and the BBC Welsh National Symphony Orchestra. In June 2000 Boris Brott conducted Leonard Bernstein's Mass for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican as part of Jubilee 2000, which was released on DVD and played on the 1st anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. Most recently he has been nominated Principal Guest Conductor of the Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari, Italy conducting extensively in Italy in Arena di Verona, Rome, and Trieste.
