Dimitra Kotidou (Soprano) - APA Artists' Management Alexandra Mercer - www.apaartistsmanagement.com This very young Greek soprano studied at the Athenaeum Maria Callas Conservatorium and at the Kodàly International Music Institute, where she obtained her singing diploma with a special award for distinctive performance going on to join the Greek National Opera Studio. She first performed with the Greek National Opera’s children’s chorus, taking part in many productions and giving her the opportunity to work with celebrated directors such as Graham Vick, Franco Zeffirelli and Renata Scotto as well as with directors from the Bolshoi Theatre. Whilst still at the Opera Studio she made her solo debut as Ninetta La Finta Semplice and Clarice L’Amante di Tutte (Galuppi). She has also appeared in many concerts with Greek National Opera. With the Athens State Symphony Orchestra she sang Bellinda/2nd Woman Dido and Aeneas during the National Gardens Festival. She took part in the world premiere of Koumentakis’s The Murderess at the Athens Megaron Concert Hall, where she also appeared as Cupid/Shepherdess in Blow’s Venus and Adonis with the Camerata Baroque Orchestra and was also a guest artist at the Epidaurus Festival. She continues to study singing with Christina Giannakopoulou and has taken part in Masterclasses with celebrated artists including Dimitri Platanias, Marina Krilovic, Dimitri Kavrakos, Cheryl Studer and most recently with Monserrat Caballe who said to her: Please stay the way you are and sing as you do today, don't ever change. Thank you so much for your singing - it is a true honour. Dimitra has been awarded a place in the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Opera am Rhein beginning in September 2016.
