Born in New Orleans, tenor Fernando del Valle has sung throughout the USA, Europe, South America and Canada. A Graduate of Tulane University he took part in the San Francisco Opera Merola Programme and was awarded a grant by Dallas Opera. He then won the Bel Canto Competition of Chicago, enabling him to move to Europe to study with Carlo Bergonzi. He was also awarded a grant by the International Institute of Vocal Arts to study with William Woodruff in Italy and a scholarship to study at the Israeli Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv.
