The young mezzo-soprano Ilseyar Khayrullova was born in Tatarstan in Russia. She graduated with distinction from the Rimski-Korsakow Conservatoire in St. Petersburg and went on to win the Playing Slominsky 2012 International Competition in St. Petersburg. Ilseyar Khayrullova was seen in various operatic roles at the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, including Olga Yevgeniy Onegin, Cherubino Le Nozze di Figaro, Clarisse The love for three oranges and she also participated in a tour of these productions in Russia. Concerts include appearances at the Grand Hall of St. Petersburg Academic, at the Mikhailovsky Palace; at the Philharmonic Society in St. Petersburg, at the Saydashev State Big Concert Hall in Kazan and at the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna. Since the season of 2013/2014, Ilseyar Khayrullova has been an ensemble member of the Wiener Staatsoper where her roles include Fenena Nabucco, Bersi Andrea Chenier, Olga Yevgeniy Onegin, Flora La Traviata, Tisbe La Cenerentola, Enrichetta I Puritani and The Page Salome. In the season 2015/2016 she appeared as Olga, one of the Three Sisters, in the premiere of Péter Eötvös’s Tri Sestri at the Wiener Staatsoper, conducted by the composer himself. In the summer of 2015 she made her debut at the Festival Opera Klosterneuburg in the role of Maddalena Rigoletto. Future plans include Gymnasiast Lulu at the Wiener Staatsoper.
