Greek soprano, Irini Kyriakidou studied at the Maria Callas Conservatory of Athens under Marina Krilovici where she was awarded a gold medal and graduated with honours. She subsequently won second prize in the Maria Callas Grand Prix International Singing Competition, gained the European Foundation of Culture Award and first prize in the Debut 2004 Singing Competition. She was awarded the Maria Callas scholarship to study at the International Opera Studio in Zurich, leading to the start of her international career. Most recently she appeared as Cherinto DEMOFOONTE under Riccardo Muti at the Ravenna Festival and Opéra Bastille. She made her debut at Teatro La Fenice as Zerlina DON GIOVANNI and returned there at the beginning of the 2011-12 season for further performances. Most recently she made her Covent Garden debut as Zerlina DON GIOVANNI.
