Marcin Bronikowski was born in Warsaw and studied at the K. Szymanowski College of Music, at the Bulgarian Academy of Music in Sofia and at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro with Alberto Zedda going on to complete his studies with Carlo Bergonzi at Teatro alla Scala , Milan.
Prizes include: first prize in the "Julian Gayarre International Singing Competition" in Pamplona; First Prize in the "International Singing Competition" in Bilbao; distinction at the "Cardiff Singers of the World" '93; third prize in the "International Singing Competition" in Vérviér, at the "Moniuszko International Competition" in Warsaw and at the "UNISA International Competition" in Pretoria (RSA). He received the Silver Ace Award from the "Polish Promotion Corporation" in Warsaw; fourth prize in the "Queen Sonya International Music Competiton" in Oslo, and first prize in the "Mirjam Helin" International Vocal Competition in Helsinki.
