Michael Heim was born in Bludenz (Vorarlberg, Austria) and grew up in the nearby town of Thüringen. After studying music, he worked for several years as journalist and editor in the greatest West Austrian publishing company, Voralberger Medienhaus. Whilst still a student he was invited to participate in numerous concerts at national and international festivals. His teachers include KS Irmgard Boas (Dresden), Prof. Habib Samadzadeh (Hohenems), KS Nicolai Gedda (Genf) and KS Francisco Araiza (Zürich/München). His first roles on stage were at the Theater St. Gallen and he now sings in theatres and in concert throughout Europe.
