Born in Vienna she studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg and the Wiener Musikhochschule, making her debut as Agathe in Der Freischütz at the Wiener Staatsoper. Since then she has appeared in principal theatres worldwide, including the Met, the Bayreuther Festspiele, Teatro Real Madrid, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, La Fenice di Venezia and the Bayerische Staatsoper, under the baton of the world's most celebrated conductors. She also regularly appears on the concert platform and her recordings include Sieglinde in Die Walküre for Presto Classical, Wagner duets and Duette und Lieder by Robert and Clara Schumann for the Orfeo label.
