Vassiliki Karayanni (Soprano) - APA Artists' Management Alexandra Mercer - www.apaartistsmanagement.com
Born in Patras, Vassiliki Karayanni studied with Barbara Gavakou, going on to win prizes in many international singing competitions. She took part in many festivals and concerts throughout Greece and made her debut in the role of Nine LE MARTIRE by Spyros Samaras at the International Festival in Corfu. Since then she has appeared regularly with the Greek National Opera and at the Megaron in both Athens and Thesaloniki and with many of Europe's principal theatres, including Covent Garden, Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Comiunale di Firenze, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. In 2001 she was awarded the Special Prize by the Greek Union of Musicians and Theatre Critics for her interpretation of the role of Zerbinetta ARIADNE AUF NAXOS. Recently she appeared at The Polish National Opera in a Concert In Memoriam for Maria Callas.
